Both in the factory and travelling with the race team. In regards to the engineering salaries, you are pretty accurate accross the board.
However in regards to the pit crew salaries, you are waaaaay off. Pit crew get paid anual salaries, not paid by race. They make anywhere from £45-60K every year, with the crew chief making around £100k. So you were off by a decent order of magnitude.
I am curious to know where those numbers came from.

“The maximum a tyre changer earns per race is £5,000. ”

How did you get 350k from 5k/race? Even in 2022, with more races on the calendar, this is still barely above 100k/year. Seems about right to me considering how crucial their job is to a drivers success. Races are won and lost in the pits all the time.

Now, a graduate engineer only earning 30k/year is absurd and not at all accurate. Not going to name drop on here, but I know someone who worked as an engineer on an F1 team (bottom team that doesnt exist anymore) and he made about 4x that amount as a junior engineer. Not graduate, but still, an engineer with a degree is not going to work on F1 for 30k/year. Guaranteed.

Working days can easily be 16 to 18 hours and it isn’t easy to keep any friends or relationships back home due to the travel commitments although nowadays without unlimited testing it’s probably a bit better.. You’ve got to really love it IMO.

Tire changer: £350,000 a year.
